Least Restrictive Care refers to a patient’s civil rights and their right to their choice of care. As a  matter of ethical obligation, in all cases a behavioral healthcare provider should attempt to provide care to their clients in a way that is least restrictive in the community, but that also  provides an adequate quality of care while ensuring the safety of the client and the community.
