The Roundtable

The Roundtable strives to address the complex issues of homelessness in our rural region, including behavioral and mental health services for homeless individuals. We also ensure the provision of Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) Administration and participate in statewide meetings and planning efforts.

OUR MISSION

To provide leadership to improve the availability and delivery of both housing and supportive services to individuals and families who lack permanent, stable, and safe housing in the Mid-Shore region.

We continually work towards this mission with the following strategies:

  1. To collaborate and continually build community partnerships among member organizations to provide coordinated and seamless service delivery to homeless and unstably housed clients.
  2. To identify needs, advocate for and work towards a comprehensive continuum of care for persons and families without homes.
  3. To reduce the public stigma of homelessness through community awareness and education.
  4. To do long and short-term planning, aligning our goals with our federal partners, to accomplish the mission.

Continuum of Care Housing

We implement all Continuum of Care Permanent Supportive Housing Programs in the mid-shore, which consists of 63 units of housing for families and individuals who are experiencing homelessness and have mental health disabilities. Program participants locate housing units throughout the five county region that are safe and habitable, a percentage of the participant’s income goes towards their housing cost and the program pays the remainder in a subsidy to the landlord. Participants are connected with case management services and work on personal goals to achieve self-sufficiency.

The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has released the FY2023 Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) CoC Competition. Please see below for the Mid Shore’s local competition deadlines.
